Arctic Monkeys have reportedly completed their new album

According to reports, Arctic Monkeys have completed the recording of their latest album at a Suffolk monastery called the Butley Priory.

As per a previous post on their website, the priory revealed that the Arctic Monkeys had recorded their forthcoming seventh album at the venue.

“Musicians love the acoustics in the Great Hall and Drawing Room, with their huge vaulted ceilings,” the post read.

Before hinting that Arctic Monkeys may be returning with a jazzy lounge style: “Being serenaded while watering and weeding the garden, listening to the double bass, drums and piano wafting out of the open double doors, was pretty nice. Thank you, Arctic Monkeys.”

Back in January, Matt Helders revealed in an interview that the band had begun writing new material but it was unclear how far along they were with the project given the hampering of Covid-19.

The fire that they were now recording was first fuelled over the weekend when a private chef uploaded a picture of himself with the band outside of the Suffolk venue, which had many speculating whether they had hired it to record an album.

This was seemingly confirmed by the venue itself as per the Instagram post pictured below. Arctic Monkeys management has been contacted over the matter and more is expected in the coming days.
