The Who unearth ‘Getting in Tune’ live clip for ‘Who’s Next’ 50th anniversary

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1971 album Who’s Next, The Who have shared a newly unearthed live video of ‘Getting in Tune’.

The new video is taken from their show at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on the 30th of September 2000, with Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle and Pete Townshend in rousing form, before segueing into ‘Sheraton Gibson’ with Townshend on acoustic guitar.

The tweet that launched the footage read: “Celebrating 50 years of Who’s Next until 27 August, here’s ‘Getting in Tune’ from Cleveland, 2000 plus a nice little bonus for your Clevelanders at the end.”

This has left many fans wondering what they have up their sleeves for the next ten days’ worth of celebrations of their seminal album. As of yet, no further plans have been announced publicly, but we’ll be sure to bring you further information if it comes.

Earlier this year, the band released a super deluxe of The Who Sell Out, featuring 112 tracks, photo booklets and bucketloads of rarities and memorabilia. This has led to many optimistic fans wondering they will follow suit with a Who’s Next reissue.

In the meantime, you can catch the unearth live clip below.
